- I know, a Saturday update. Whoda thunk? lol Figured I'd take a moment out of my busy busy life to plug Saved. Went to see it last night with Kev and the girls. Much much funny. Tho the main character looks a little too much like my step sister did when she was younger and it was freakin me out. Other than that all good tho. I think Rach probably got the biggest kick out of it, what with her actually going to Jesus pleasus schools all her life. We all heartily enjoyed it tho, and you should most definately check it out. Unless you're a stereotypical Jesus freak, in which case ya wouldn't get the funny. And if you ARE a stereotypical Jesus freak, what the hell ya doin reading a blog called GirlyDyke anyways? Itsn't that like some kind of major hellfire inspiring sin?
After the movie, we went to check out the new queer bar in the area. Was a pretty cool place. Nice dance floor, descent pool tables. I went up to get a drink and some girl started yellin my name. No clue. Apparently I met her at the picnic. *shrug* We hung out for awhile, then decided to check out RKs since we hadn't been there since Thanksgiving (good night that was), so motorcaded our asses to Greensburg. Got there just in time for last call. Was pretty much same ol same ol there. Always mostly men, most of them older. Quiet crowd. Not terribly friendly.
Tonight is Donny's night, as tradition now dictates. Think Kev is comin with. Hate to say it, but I'm kinda glad he dumped his boy. I missed him when he was all domesticated an shit. And now he gets to go on the big homo camping trip over the fourth of July. Yay!!!!

- I'm back! And I'm tan! And I wanna move to the coast damnit!
Hola! I have returned from the big homo vaca '04. Had a fabulous time. The condo rocked. 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, top floor, right on the beach. I crashed on the couch which initially sounds sucky, but was actually pretty cool cuz I left the balcony doors open and could hear the ocean :o) The 10 hour drive proved to be no problem, much to my surprise. I think I actually enjoyed the solo trip more than the ones I used to take with Krystal. Of course she has a bladder the size of a golf ball, so I was forever stopping to let her pee. That can be irritating ya know. Specially to those of us blessed with a hollow leg.
There really isn't a whole lot to report about the vaca itself. My days onsisted of waking up, going to the tiki bar (which was a couple hundred yards down the beach. Mucho convieniento.) After tiki cocktails, we'd hit the beach, swim for a bit, then head back to the condo to nap before hitting the town. Who woulda guessed the entire trip would revolve around alcohol? lol
Queer nightlife in Wilmington, NC was actually better than I had expected. One place we went would make a pretty cool hangout, but the people sucked. Was way clicky and not friendly in the slightest. Costello's, on the other hand, was uber cool. I met one of the editors of GoGirlsMusic. At least I think she said she was an editor. I bought one of her CDs, but its still in the car, so I'll have to give ya details later.
The Tiki bar was much fun. We befriended one of the bartenders (Caroline) and Eth and I visited her at her other job one evening. Which was bartending at the Silver Dollar, rumored to be the big lesbian hangout. And biker bar. The only dyke I saw there was me, and no bikes were to be found unless you count Caroline's. And it has pedals. Go fig. Good times tho.
Things to remember:
aborted poo baby
Mike's a slut
cracker carnage
Eth's underwear dance
Put him in the trunk
the shocker
